Ancient Rome Quiz
Six questions make up this ancient Rome quiz, spanning the founding legend to Pompeii in 79 AD. No answer went in until two independent authors had written it separately and agreed.
Six questions on Rome
The set stretches from the city’s founding legend to the destruction of Pompeii in 79 AD — from a story Romans told about themselves to a disaster archaeology can still walk through. Inside that arc, the 6 questions touch the figures, dates, and turning points any Roman empire quiz is expected to cover, while staying strictly on ground the record can settle. It is a short set, so each question lands on a point the sources agree about.
Where the facts were settled
Every answer in this quiz comes out of a dataset written twice. Two independent authors each produced the complete record — 149 catalog facts alongside a full list of all 47 US presidencies — and the two versions were compared key by key before question generation began. All 149 facts verified; all 47 presidency records matched on every field. Any entry the authors could not agree on was excluded, which means no question here rides on a single uncorroborated claim. The ancient material gets no exemption from that rule.
How play works
Four options per question, right in the page. The moment you choose, the quiz tells you whether you were correct and shows the answer either way. After the sixth question comes a review of the entire run, and your best score is written to your browser so the next attempt has a target. No signup, no download, no account — open the page and the first question is ready.
