World War 1 Quiz
This World War 1 quiz covers 1914-1918 in 8 questions, from the spark in Sarajevo through the American entry to the armistice and the treaty. Every answer was written twice and verified before use.
Coverage: 1914 to 1918, and the treaty after
Eight questions follow the war from its opening to its paperwork. The set begins with the spark in Sarajevo, takes in the American entry into the fighting, and closes with the armistice and the treaty that formally settled the war. The frame is 1914 to 1918, with the settlement that followed admitted at the end — because the story of the war does not quite stop when the guns do.
Verification before question-writing
No answer on this site comes from one person’s notes. The underlying dataset was written twice by independent authors and compared key by key: 149 catalog facts, all 149 verified, and a complete list of the 47 US presidencies with both versions in agreement on every field. When the authors could not agree on an entry, that entry produced no question at all. The war questions here draw only on the entries that matched — dates, names, and sequences the two records settled identically.
