This Norse mythology quiz keeps to the core of the material: Odin, Thor, Loki, Valhalla, and Ragnarok. Eight questions, each about what the old sources actually say — names, places, and the order of things as the myths tell them. The five subjects are the ones nearly every retelling leads with, so the ground will be familiar even where the details are not.

Myth is the one subject where a quiz has to watch its footing. The rule here is the same as on the site’s history pages: if the answer is not settled in the source material, the question is not asked.

The verification behind each answer

The site’s dataset was written twice over, by two authors who worked independently, and the two versions were compared key by key before any questions were generated. Of 149 catalog facts, all 149 survived that comparison. Entries where the authors disagreed produced no questions — disagreement ends the matter.
