Black History Quiz
This black history quiz asks 8 verified questions along the arc from emancipation to the Supreme Court. No signup — it plays right here in the page.
Eight questions, one long arc
The scope of this quiz is the stretch of American history that runs from emancipation to the Supreme Court. Along that line the questions take in Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, and Thurgood Marshall.
It is a compact set by design. Hindsight only asks what its verified dataset can support, and eight solid questions beat a padded thirty. The whole run takes a few minutes. If you want a longer session afterward, the site’s 20-question trivia sampler ranges across every era it covers.
How the answers were checked
The answers come from a dataset written twice over, by two authors working separately. Their versions were compared entry by entry — 149 catalog facts, all 149 verified — before any question on the site was generated. Any point the two could not agree on was left out entirely; no question here rests on one compiler’s memory.
The format
Four options per question. You pick, and the page tells you at once whether you were right, showing the correct answer regardless. After the eighth question comes a review of the full set, and your best score is kept in your browser for the next visit.
The missed ones are the useful ones — the review pairs each question with the answer that should have been chosen, so the quiz doubles as a short refresher. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to install.
